March 15 2011 – Spring?

Yep, I’m back and as inconsistent in posting as ever. I’ve been battling a cold the last week or so and am finally almost over it. I’m not using it as an excuse, but actually set up for the pics I took this am. I wasn’t going to come to work yesterday, but somehow I managed. But because I of being ill, I didnt grab my camera bag when I left the house. Of course then i saw two gorgeous geese in front of my office building and I kicked myself as I figured they wouldn’t be there today. Thankfully I was wrong. I’ve been keeping my long lens on more often and while I didn’t really need it today, they were only about 10 feet away, it helped 🙂

So the wife and I got up late today. We were up visiting friends in VT and didnt get home til about 5am. So, the wife is out making her “breakfast” and she says to come out to the kitchen quick with the camera. I figure the cat is doing something adoreable. So I have my short lens on, and he points out the back window. I look up the hill behind out house and see 4 deer. Here are a couple shots. I really wished I had my long lens on.

Since I suck at doing daily posts for project 365, I’m going to just post pics as I take them. Here is a shot of a tree outside my office.

Project 365 – Day 5: Snow art

Was walking into work and there is an island and roundabout in front of my building. As i was passing by the roundabout the pattern in the snow caused by the wind caught my eye. Proof that art and beauty can be found just about everywhere, even when you aren’t looking for it.
